Overview
As your accounting professional and advisor, I am with you every step of the way offering professional accounting operations consulting, bookkeeping services and tax services.  As an independent accounting and tax professional, I have assisted business owners and non-profit organizations in the following:

  • Providing set-up, training and implementation of QuickBooks.
  • Consulting for monthly, quarterly or annual reviews of accounting records.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly management or board reports.
  • Preparing projections and analysis of Cash Flow and Budgets.
  • Setting up, training and implementing standard accounting practices and procedures.
  • Full bookkeeping including general ledger and subsidiary ledger management, accounts receivable and payable management, bank reconciliations, and monthly reporting.
  • Preparing small corporate and individual income tax returns

National Accounting Firm Experience
Prior to opening my own accounting practice more than 5 years ago, I worked for over 8 years in accounting firms serving small businesses and large corporations. I spent four and a half years with Berlin, Ramos & Company, an east coast based firm, and later moved to Moss Adams, LLP, a nationally known accounting firm.

With Berlin, Ramos & Company I held the position of Senior staff accountant. In this role, I conducted compilations, reviews and audits of small businesses in various industries including professional services and real estate. My work in the firm focused on preparing income tax returns for individuals and all business entities. I also devised tax projections and tax-planning strategies for individuals and businesses. I also assisted clients with implementation and use of various accounting software with an emphasis in QuickBooks. Created and manipulated spreadsheets for budgeting and other numerous uses. Supervised and reviewed work of other staff.

My expertise expanded with Moss Adams, LLC as their small business practice manager. My primary responsibilities included planning, managing, supervising and reviewing compiled financial statements prepared according to GAAP and other comprehensive basis of accounting. Other responsibilities included scheduling and managing the preparation of client payroll returns, sales tax returns, 1099s and Business Property Statements. Preparing income tax projections and returns for individuals and business entities. Assisted clients with implementation of QuickBooks and provided training on the software.

Professional Education, Certification and Community Involvement
I have a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Maryland and I am a member of AICPA, a California Certified Public Accountant and Member Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honorary Society and Treasurer/CFO for Volunteer San Diego for 6 years.
